Dr. Gil is a physician with a master's and Ph.D in Epidemiology and Public Health and an adjunct professor of quantitative methods at the School of Medicine at Universidad de la Repรบblica, Uruguay. He is also the director of Information Systems with the Uruguay Healthcare Services Administration, advisor to the Public Health Ministry and member of the Honorary Scientific Advisory Group on COVID-19. Over the past decade, he has coordinated eHealth and other IT healthcare initiatives across Uruguay.
