Vital Signs and Measures

All measures, including the measures within the Vital Signs, are equally weighted.

Indonesia is in the earliest stages of a transition to personalised healthcare.

Like many other large countries in the Asia-Pacific Region, Indonesia has significant disparities in healthcare access and quality that fall along an urban-rural divide. In addition, Indonesia currently lacks a robust digital infrastructure and large-scale health data collection capabilities. To be sure, however, Indonesia has formulated policies and strategies to encourage the development of the foundation for personalised healthcare, and some low-cost, digitally enabled health services (i.e., telehealth) are gaining currency across the country. Increased investment in healthcare research and development coupled with planning that emphasises equity and capacity building in all parts of the health ecosystem will be crucial to move Indonesia towards personalised healthcare.
