The launch of the Africa Sustainability Index
On 9th March 2021 at 3:15 p.m. EAT during the virtual Africa Health Agenda International Conference (AHAIC) hosted by Amref we launched the Africa Sustainability Index.
The index provides a unique overview of the current status of 18 health systems across the continent. The Index is made up of 76 different measures split across six categories called Vital Signs. The measures were identified by experts from health systems, international organisations, think tanks and academia from across Africa.

The Personalised Health Index findings have been published in a whitepaper “Getting to Personalised Healthcare in APAC”. The whitepaper has been coordinated by the Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies and informed by expert insights from across Asia-Pacific and includes key policy recommendations based on the Index findings to help accelerate this personalised healthcare transformation in the region.
