Vital Signs and Measures

All measures, including the measures within the Vital Signs, are equally weighted.

Singapore is the overall top performer in the Personalised Health Index.

This is largely due to a combination of high levels of digital maturity, comprehensive national strategies, and expansive innovation capacities. With robust plans and strategies for enabling personalised healthcare, a strong digital infrastructure, and high utilisation of personalised healthcare-enabling technologies, Singapore is among the most well positioned countries concerning personalised healthcare. This position can be even further strengthened, however. While Singapore already invests heavily in research and development, it could increase investment specifically targeting healthcare and health-related sectors. In addition, Singapore could work to make research data more open and accessible, as well as increase the interoperability of health data in both national and cross-border contexts. Finally, while Singapore has plans and strategies that indirectly provide much support for enabling personalised healthcare, there is still a need for a coherent policy, strategy, or plan that explicitly addresses personalised healthcare.
