Fred Horne is Principal of Horne and Associates, Health Policy Consultants, and served as Albertaโ€™s Minister of Health from 2011-2014. He is also currently Adjunct Professor at the University of Albertaโ€™s School of Public Health. ย  His career in health policy spans over thirty years and includes experience in policy development and coordination, health system design and transformation, and stakeholder engagement. He began his career as a community health planner, and he has worked extensively with provincial governments, and national and international research and stakeholder organizations across Canada and abroad. ย  Horne holds an MBA from Royal Roads University and York Universityโ€™s Certificate in Dispute Resolution. He currently serves on a number of boards in the not-for-profit and private sectors, including as Mohawk Medbuy Corporation (chair), the Canadian Faculty Network and the Canadian Foundation for Healthcare Improvement.
